Image Resize for Small Business

Right-size product photos for the marketplace, the storefront, or the email newsletter.

The everyday operating tools of a one-to-five-person business: shrink a product photo for the marketplace, generate a QR code for the storefront, check the exchange rate before quoting a customer, generate UUIDs for an import, summarize a competitor blog post, count the words on a product description. Cheap, fast, and your inventory photos never leave your device.

What it does for Small business owners and solo operators

How to use it

  1. Drop the source image. Width and height populate automatically so you can decide whether you are scaling up, down, or cropping to fit.
  2. Pick the output format and quality. WebP at quality 80 is usually indistinguishable from the source and a third of the size.
  3. Download the result. The page also shows a side-by-side size comparison so you can see whether the savings were worth it.

Common questions

What size should a marketplace product photo be?

Most listings expect a square image, and a long edge of at least 1000px is the usual floor - some platforms only turn on zoom above 2000px. Export the exact ratio your platform asks for and check its current spec, because the numbers change.

Will resizing make my product photos blurry?

Only if you scale up. Resizing down from the original is safe; enlarging invents pixels that were never captured. Keep the camera original somewhere and resize a copy for each channel.

Do I need a different size for the newsletter?

Yes. Email clients rarely render wider than about 600px, and heavy images hurt load time on mobile. Make one wide version for the storefront and a smaller one for email rather than sending the largest file everywhere.
