Are these the rates I would get from a bank?
No. These are mid-market interbank rates. Banks and card networks add a spread, typically 1 to 3 percent, and some charge a fixed fee on top.
How often do the rates update?
They refresh from a public exchange-rate feed. The timestamp on the result tells you how current the quote is.
Why can the rate change between two conversions?
Currency markets trade continuously through the working week. A rate quoted on Friday is not the rate you get on Monday morning.
